With the continual advancement in all aspects of dentistry, aesthetics remains at the forefront for the patient. More than in the past, today’s patients are much more educated about the treatment options available as a result of the availability of information from the internet, publications, or the television. As a result, patients expect the highest level of aesthetics available. Unfortunately, esthetic outcomes can only be predictable long term if it is integrated into function. Predictability should be the objective of the dentist whether he is doing a single unit crown , six anterior porcelain laminate veneers, or a full mouth rehabilitation involving either natural teeth or implants. Only through a systematic approach can the dentist expect to obtain a predictable outcomes.
